Topy Industries, Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Hiromi Ishii, hereinafter referred to as "Topy Industries") will exhibit 16 wheels produced incorporating newly developed wheel power generation technology and Topy Industries' unique technology at Japan Mobility Show 2023 at Tokyo Big Sight from October 26th (Thursday) to November 5th (Sunday) under the theme of "Regeneration Circle - Connecting and expanding the circle of TOPY towards a brighter future".
In today's mobility society, competition has begun in various fields based on CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Service, Electric) keywords, and Topy Industries is also considering the development of high value-added wheels that will contribute to a sustainable society. I did. At the Topy Industries booth, we will propose new wheel possibilities and innovations for the future.

Main exhibition contents

New technology “TOPY GREEN WHEEL TECHNOLOGY”

``TOPY GREEN WHEEL TECHNOLOGY'' is a technology that allows wheels to generate electricity, and Topy Industries, which has extensive knowledge of wheels, proposes innovative wheels that contribute to the environment and a safe society.
When a car runs, distortion occurs in the wheels due to the deformation of the tires. "TOPY GREEN WHEEL TECHNOLOGY" is a wheel power generation technology uniquely developed by Topy Industries that utilizes piezoelectric elements that convert strain into voltage. By combining the electricity generated and sensor technology, we aim to protect the environment and prevent accidents by making the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) battery-free and notifying drivers of abnormalities in wheels and tires. In addition, by using the generated electricity to make wheels IoT-enabled, we will contribute to improvements in energy efficiency and autonomous driving, contributing to a future mobility society.
At the Topy Industries booth, you can actually see how a rotating wheel generates electricity. Additionally, an introductory movie of "TOPY GREEN WHEEL TECHNOLOGY" will be shown.

Aluminum wheel for passenger cars “TOPY Sustainable Wheel”

This Aluminum wheel aims to reduce the environmental impact throughout the product's lifecycle, including raw materials, manufacturing, use, and disposal, in order to help create a sustainable society.
In addition to weight reduction using Topy Industries' unique construction method, surface treatment that reduces air resistance improves vehicle fuel efficiency and contributes to reducing CO2 emissions. Furthermore, it is an environmentally friendly wheel that uses green aluminum manufactured using renewable energy and paint that suppresses volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.

Steel wheels for passenger cars "Wheels made of low carbon emission steel"

This is an environmentally friendly steel wheel that uses steel materials manufactured in an electric furnace (electric furnace material). Electric furnace materials made from steel scrap emit less CO2 during the manufacturing process than steel materials manufactured in blast furnaces using iron ore or coal, so using them as raw materials for wheels can contribute to decarbonization. Masu.

Steel wheels for commercial vehicles “Brilliant Wheel®”

In the field of steel wheels for commercial vehicles, this is the first wheel in Japan to adopt a three-layer coating structure. We provide "the joy of choosing, the joy of riding, and the joy of seeing" in response to the diversifying needs of our customers. The three-layer coating structure doubles the corrosion resistance compared to conventional products, making it a wheel that contributes to vehicle safety and improved appearance.

*"TOPY GREEN WHEEL TECHNOLOGY" and "TOPY Sustainable Wheel" are development names, not product names.
