An international environmental non-profit organization (NGO) established in the UK in 2000 that operates a global environmental information disclosure system for companies, local governments, etc. The annual environmental information disclosure and evaluation process is widely recognized as the global standard for corporate environmental information disclosure. In 2023, more than 23,000 companies responded globally. Responding companies are given scores on an eight-point scale from A to D- based on comprehensiveness of disclosure, recognition and management of environmental risks, setting ambitious targets, and pioneering efforts in the environmental field.
