Bridge Division

Steel structures built to last through the 21st century -
This is our commitment, now and always.

Iron (steel) occupies an important place in our world. It supports our industry and the fabric of our daily lives. Topy's Bridge Division puts this steel - the product of human ingenuity - to work in our society, utilizing a full range of technology to transform it into bridges, large ocean rigs, buildings, and a variety of other structures.

The Bridge Division is involved in all aspects of the bridge construction process, from design and fabrication to site execution. Our many accomplishments in Japan and abroad include such large-scale projects as cross-channel bridges (most notably the Honshu-Shikoku Bridge), expressways (including the 2nd Tomei and Meishin Expressways, currently under construction), and rail bridges (for the Shinkansen and others). But they also include small and medium scale bridge construction projects as well.

Finding the perfect balance with the natural and human environments and improving quality while keeping costs down are among the most important challenge facing our construction business today. Topy's Bridge Division is actively engaged in researching and developing new design and execution technologies with the future of steel bridges and structures in mind, including not only steel structures but also ferroconcrete composite and compound structures.
