Topy Industries Ltd. (Head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Hiromi Ishii; hereinafter referred to as "Topy Industries") has been selected as an "A List" company by CDP *, an international environmental non-profit organization, in its 2025 climate change survey.
Every year, CDP evaluates companies on their climate change initiatives and information disclosure, selecting companies that are making particularly advanced efforts as part of the "A List." Topy Industries' 2025 assessment continued from the previous year, receiving the highest rating of "A" for climate change, and a "B" for water security.
The Topy Industries Group has positioned the promotion of sustainability management, including addressing climate change, as one of its most important issues, and has formulated and is promoting the "TOPY Sustainable Green Vision 2050," a long-term sustainability vision aimed at realizing a prosperous and sustainable society in 2050. As part of its efforts to combat climate change, the Group has set targets for reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO₂ emissions by 46% by fiscal 2030, 60% by fiscal 2035, and 73% by fiscal 2040, compared to fiscal 2013 levels. Furthermore, by reducing emissions through Scope 1, 2, and 3, the Group will work to achieve carbon neutrality by fiscal 2050.
The Topy Industries Group is working to reduce CO₂ emissions in Scope 1 and 2 by promoting energy conservation in production processes and introducing solar power generation facilities through an on-site PPA model, while also proactively addressing Scope 3 emissions by improving the energy efficiency of product transportation throughout the value chain and improving fuel efficiency through lighter wheels. With technology, sales, production management, etc. working together, we will strategically develop measures and promote our efforts.
In addition to reducing CO2 emissions in Scope 1 and 2 through energy conservation in the company-wide production process, we are also working to reduce energy consumption in product transportation through the value chain and improve fuel efficiency by making wheels lighter, among other things, in response to Scope 3. We are taking strategic measures and promoting initiatives across the company, including technology, sales, and production management. We will continue to take on the challenge of achieving carbon neutrality.
