We have been certified as a “Health and Productivity Management Excellent Corporation 2023 (Large Enterprise Category)” as a corporation that considers management from a management perspective and is working strategically.

This is a system that honors corporations such as large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises that practice particularly excellent health management based on initiatives that address local health issues and health promotion initiatives promoted by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.

 

◆ Topy Industries' initiatives for health management
Based on the three pillars of "mind," "body," and "work-life balance," we have created an environment in which employees can demonstrate their abilities in a healthy and secure manner. We are promoting “health management” to enhance the attractiveness of the company and workplace.

1. Body (disease prevention, healthy body development)
We will actively provide health and events that lead to improved health awareness, early detection and early treatment of diseases such as lifestyle-related diseases, and prevention of aggravation.
<Case study>

  • Strengthen health guidance to reduce the rate of positive findings. With regard to specific health guidance, we expect a significant increase in the consultation rate through joint efforts with the Topy Health Insurance Society.
  • Aiming to reduce the smoking rate, in addition to conducting a questionnaire survey of all employees, we also provide enlightenment education and support for employees who want to quit smoking. The smoking rate, which was 41% in 2017, has now fallen to the 30% range.

 

2. Kokoro (prevention and response to mental health problems)
We provide mental support by utilizing stress check analysis, interviews with industrial physicians, and strengthening cooperation with health insurance associations and industrial physicians.

  • In addition to distributing pocket-sized health management initiatives, we also opened a consultation desk for women's health. We have created an environment where not only employees but also their families can feel free to consult about their health at any time.

 

3. Work-life balance (optimization of working hours, enhancement of leisure time)
We have expanded systems that allow for flexible work styles, such as curbing overtime work and increasing the number of vacation days taken. We will improve the work environment so that we can secure healthy and rich time both in public and private.
<Case study>

  • In fiscal 2020, we will introduce a telework system, and in fiscal 2021, we will introduce a flextime system. In fiscal 2023, we plan to introduce an hourly annual leave system, aiming to realize a work style that is not bound by place or time.
