Kanagawa Plant will implement and maintain environmental management based on the following documented policy, given that the company is an urban plant located along the Seno River in Shonan, Japan, that designs, develops, and manufactures track for construction equipment undercarriages and its components, including links, pins, bushings, track shoe, and cutting edge materials for earth removal plates.

 

Basic environmental guidelines

  1. In addition to complying with environment-related laws, regulations, and industry standards, in accordance with Topy Industries, Ltd.'s Basic Environmental Policy, we will develop voluntary standards and operating procedures, and strive to continuously improve environmental management and prevent pollution.
  2. Prevent environmental pollution by chemical substances such as organic solvents. In particular, we will strive to properly manage thinners, solvent-based paints, and water-soluble solvents.
  3. To prevent global warming, promote the saving of electricity and petroleum. In particular, we will strive to reduce energy consumption for power, air conditioning, and lighting.
  4. Promote the reduction and recycling of waste materials for the effective use of resources. In particular, we will strive to reduce and recycle paper and packaging materials.
  5. In order to coexist with the local community, we will participate in the environmental conservation activities of the local community and strive to communicate with them.
  6. When conducting overseas business activities and exporting products, we will consider the impact on the local environment and strive to implement measures that meet the needs of the local community.
  7. In the unlikely event that an environmental problem arises as a result of our business activities, we will take appropriate measures to minimize the environmental impact, and we will regularly conduct emergency drills assuming environmental problems.
