Topy Industries, Ltd. (Head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO Hiromi Ishii; hereinafter referred to as "Topy Industries") is pleased to announce that it will sponsor HINO TEAM SUGAWARA (Representative: Teruhito Sugawara), which will be competing in the truck division of the Dakar Rally 2025, said to be the world's most grueling motorsport competition, which will be held in Saudi Arabia from Friday, January 3rd to Friday, January 17th, 2025.
This will be the team's 34th Dakar Rally *, and last year they placed 6th in the trucks category. Topy Industries has been sponsoring the team since the Dakar Rally 2015, and this year marks their 11th time sponsoring the team.
As a world-class automobile wheel manufacturer, Topy Industries will continue to support Hino Team Sugawara as it continues to take on the challenges of rigorous motorsports, and will contribute to the development of motorsports.
*Dakar Rally: A cross-country rally competition that has been held since 1979. It is said to be the world's toughest motorsport, as the racers drive continuously for around two weeks over rugged roads in deserts and mountainous regions.
