We are actively working to employ people with disabilities, with our employment rate of 3.0% (as of June 1, 2024), exceeding the statutory employment rate (2.5%). Employees with disabilities are active in a wide range of workplaces, from the manufacturing sites of each manufacturing plant to the administrative department at the head office, depending on their individual aptitude. In addition, we have started "farm-type employment of people with disabilities" in March 2024, and are working to create new jobs.
We are also working to improve the work environment so that employees with disabilities can work with peace of mind, and to promote understanding among surrounding employees (through study sessions, etc.) so that other employees can work in the same workplace. In addition, in anticipation of a future increase in the statutory employment rate, we are proactively building relationships with special needs schools and employment transition support businesses, and will continue to promote the creation of further employment opportunities for people with disabilities and the expansion of their fields.
