The training of candidates for successors to the management, such as directors, is carefully discussed by the Nomination Advisory Committee. Management, who are entrusted with management, are aware that their mission is to achieve sustainable growth and increase the corporate value of the Group from a company-wide perspective, and systematic training is provided to each employee according to their position, starting from the time they become senior executives. In addition, we strive to develop human resources by giving them experience in a variety of roles, such as the executive officer of various departments of the Company and Group companies, as well as by giving them experience participating in management through attending important management meetings such as the Board of Directors and Executive Management Meeting.
In addition, we have been conducting the "Topy Management Academy," an in-house training program for developing candidates for executive management, since fiscal 2005. In fiscal 2018, we carried out a comprehensive review and renewed it as the "New Topy Management Academy" to improve the qualities of candidates for the next generation of managers. We plan to make major updates in fiscal 2023 as well, to enhance the training and improve its effectiveness. In addition, we send selected personnel to external management training programs in an effort to develop and secure the next generation of management candidates.
